The Denver (CO) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated
The Denver (CO) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated was founded in 1952 by Fairfax Holmes and with assistance from Edith Hawkins and Geraldine Lightner. For over 60 years, we have served the Denver metro area, national and international communities by developing, delivering and sustaining relevant community programs across our national program facet areas: National Trends, International Trends, Services to Youth, The Arts and Health & Human Services. Today, The Denver (CO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated includes over 45 active members engaged in delivering over 5000 volunteer service hours annually.
Additionally, the Denver Chapter has contributed over $1,000,000 to support local, national and international organizations that educate and enrich the lives of others. Notable contributions include over $250,000 in college scholarships for local high school students, and a gift of $50,000 to help establish the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library in Denver.

To foster economic development.
To educate the public about issues central to the well being of African-Americans.
To advocate appropriate public responses to the needs of African-Americans.
To empower the membership in leadership development by offering training programs for greater effectiveness.
To provide a positive approach to address critical youth issues.
To foster artistic endeavors.
To promote the well being of the African-American family.
To collaborate with organizations with similar goals and objectives.
To increase awareness of international issues, particularly those affecting people of African descent.
